I think you are generous in saying he is number two. The way a lot of Tories feel about that cautious performance, he would be lucky to make number 200.
David Cameron is far too conventional, and he is also far far too cautious. The winner was always going to be someone who had the guts to go for it. Polite good manners was never going to cut it.
