To commemorate the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, the fashion magazine Elle has created a special edition of their November issue featuring our very own Boris on the front cover.
As well as a special edition of the publication featuring BoJo on the cover (in place of fellow cricket aficionado Lily Allen), the Mayor has also written the November 2009 issue Ed’s letter.
Bozza worked with Elle‘s editor in chief Lorraine Candy on the project to celebrate 25 years of London Fashion week, a unique collaboration between 25 of fashion’s biggest names and the magazine to design 25 posters that will be displayed on London’s tube system this month, “Elle on the Underground.”
We at Boriswatch Towers often find it’s Elle on the underground, particularly if the air conditioning is knackered…..
I had a fit of the giggles when I read this, but really it is not such a strange idea. Boris does have a unique style that is all his own, and that is the key element of successful fashion – to have a unique style and be totally yourself. He sort of does a twist on “le style anglais”, adored by the French, but with the Mayor, it is unique – the hair, the slight disarray. the butch element.
Dammit, you got the title first! That’ll teach me to get the flu when Boris news is breaking.
