As Boriswatch reader jaspreet has pointed out, a TV documentary called Watching The Spectator will be aired tonight at 9pm on BBC Two. Fingers crossed it’s a positive analysis…
The programme was itching to focus solely on Boris – but a good roundup of the events, I thought – although it made Boris look more like a buffoon than a scholar. Have you noticed, though, that every mention of him nowadays is coupled with the question of whether Boris will be leader one day?
The man’s in a league of his own.
Superb politician, yes he will be leader.
I may defect from the Official Monster Raving loony Party if he becomes leader.
You know it makes sense
There’s an article by the makers of the programme at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4297279.stm – interesting stuff – includes the phrase “Pure Boris. And pure suicide.”

The programme was quite good apart from the parts featuring the comments of the abominable Polly Toynbee.
